Women’s JHB Team Championship – 26/07/2026 – Cherwell Edge
It was another very hot day at Cherwell Edge when the JHB team final took place on the day after the Women’s Championship. 15 teams, representing 7 clubs were competing for the Gross and Nett trophies. Many of the players from the previous day returned to represent their clubs, so they were well aware of the tricky course conditions.
Winning the JHB Cup, for the best Gross team score was Huntswood GC, represented by Rowan Revell, Clare Harman, and Clare Jewson, with a team score of 253.
The winners of the JHB Shield for the best Nett team was Easthampstead Ladies GC, represented by Gill Cain, Ishbel Thomson, and Sandy Kinch, with Nett 219.
The runners up for the trophies were Hoebridge GC for the Gross trophy and Warley Woods GC for the Nett trophy.
The best individual Gross score prize was won by Sandy Kinch with 76, (Nett66) including a back 9 played to par.
The best individual Nett score of the day winner on countback was Jo Bonner from Hoebridge with nett 70.
Once again, thank you to Dave Dempsey for helping and being starter again. Altogether a very successful weekend of golf.
