Women’s Championship – 25/07/2026 – Cherwell Edge
On a very hot Saturday in July, 43 Women from 12 different clubs met at Cherwell Edge to play the final of the Women’s Championship of England.
The course was very dry and the ball was running, although not always in the expected direction.
Successfully defending her title as Women’s Champion was Katy Lansley, from Easthampstead Ladies GC with a Gross 75. The runner up with a Gross 79 was Sarah Riddell from Hoebridge.
In Division 1, the winner was Hayley Davies, from Warley Woods with a Nett 66. The runner up was Mandy Roberts from Southsea with Nett 68 and 3rd was Karen Gillman from Warley Woods with Nett 69.
In Division 2, the winner on countback was Louise Reynolds from Huntswood with Nett 67. The runner up was Nitasha Bisaria from Haste Hill. In 3rd place on countback was Sue Field from Tilgate Forest with Nett 69.
