Ladies Championship & JHB Finals

The weekend of 26th / 27th July saw the culmination of the NAPGC Ladies Championship and the JHB Final. Played in glorious sunshine at Cherwell Edge Golf Club, 33 Ladies competed for the Ladies Championship on Saturday 26th. The overall Gross winner and ladies champion went to Holly Murphy from Rose Hill who carded an excellent 77. Runner up to Holly was Steph Williams from Hoebridge.

The Silver Nett Competition was hotly contested and very close with Vicky Motley from Easthampsted pipping Clare Harman from Huntswood and Jess Howard from Hoebridge into second and third places respectively.  In the Bronze division, Sam Spittle from Warley Woods, triumphed in a very close competition over Eliya Borden from Hoebridge and Sue Field from Tilgate Forrest.

Sunday saw 42 ladies from 14 teams from across the country competing in the JHB Final. The teams of 3 ladies in each team contested in the Gross and Nett competitions. The Cherwell Edge course was in great condition with some very tricky green so provided a challenging test for the field. The overall gross champions were Hoebridge A who beat Easthampstead Ladies by 9 points so a close run affair. The Nett competition was equally hard fought with Huntswood A prevailing over Huntswood B, who just beat Hoebridge B on count back.

Well done to all our finalists and congratulations to our winners. The NAPGC would also like to say a big thank you to the Cherwell Edge team who looked after us so well!!
