NAPGC Men’s Championship 2026

NAPGC Men's Championship 2026
Men’s Championship 2026 at Woodhall Spa – Sunday 16th August (Bracken Course)

The men’s championship saw 53 players making the tee sheet having battled through club and area qualifying events. Congratulations to all who made it to the national final.

Weather was good with the sun shining mostly and very little breeze.

In the scratch section it was Rajbir Ghimire, Brent Valley, with his 77 (+5) who defended his title (same score as last year!) to lift the J H Taylor Shield.

It was a very tight event with Matt Leddy and Liam Cella also shooting 77 but being beaten on countback. Matt took the Picadilly Div 1 net trophy with Liam runner up.

The overall net title was again decided very late with a Division 4 player, Phillip Stevens of Perivale shooting 70 (-2), the only under par score of the day, in the very last group.

In the wider net competition, it was Jack Blaine (72) from Southsea, who took the Division 2 title from Craig Mc Guinness (74) in second place, in Division 3 it was Ian Hastings (72) of Cannock Park who lifted the Picadilly net trophy with Ivan Lawrence (77) from Little Hay second, and in Division 4 Paddy Coone (73) from Tilgate Forest prevailed with Wyne Morgan (74) Cannock Park filling the runner up spot.

Our champions Raj and Phillip will receive invites back to the final at Woodhall Spa in 2026 without need to qualify.

Many thanks to Les Hasell for running the competition through the year assisted by Stuart Cella on the day.

Stuart Cella (Secretary)
