NAPGC WOMEN’S SENIORS at Thorney Park 6 August 2025
The Women’s Seniors Championship returned to Thorney Park on 6 August 2025. An 18hole Stableford event with an aggregate pairs team event running in parallel.
The course was in good condition. apart from some major ongoing works on the 16th hole following safety issues. The weather on the day was also very kind to us.
In the singles event Oikam Li from Haste Hill took the honours with 42 points, Julie Moultonryan also from Haste Hill was runner up on 40 points. The gross went to Madge Henry of Perivale Park with 26 points on countback from the Hoebridge pair of Kim Price and Laura Nicholson. The super seniors also went to countback with Maureen Barnaville of Easthampstead taking the honours from Sian Whitbread, Haste Hill, with 35 points.
The pairs event was won by Maureen Barnaville and Sandy Kinch from Easthampstead with a combined 73 points. The Haste Hill pair of Oikam Li and Nitasha Bisaria were runners up with 72 points.
Thanks to the team at Thorney Park for looking after us on the day and best wishes for the course redesign being undertaken in the period ahead that also includes the addition of a driving range. We look forward to returning in a couple of years or so when the work has all been completed.
