After the excitement of our 2025 launch, we got worrying news from Ealing Council. The Council plans a new regional park and its initial maps show it including Brent Valley Golf Course, the home of the Parakeets programme since its foundation.
While plans are still at a very early stage, we urge all our supporters to protest any closure of the golf course open, so we can carry on offering our programme.
You can do this on the Council’s consultation here (and the button below or https://bit.ly/4l6niCg) and/or by contacting your local councillors. The deadline for submissions is very soon, April 6.
The consultation has many questions, but we suggest using Box 7 with a message like: “”I do not want Brent Valley Golf Course to close as it brings huge well-being benefits to thousands of people, including many children through the Parakeets programme.”
