Bourne Vanneck Finals 2025

BOURNE VANNECK FINALS 2025

Bourne-Vanneck Final – 13 July 2025

The men’s stroke-play aggregate team championship final took place on the Wellington Course at Sherfield Oaks on Sunday 13 July. There were 15 teams of 3 competing from the black tees on what was another sun-drenched day. The course like many others was dry, but the greens were very well presented and there was some very good play.

Ultimately it was Batchwood Hall, represented by Jason Kirby, Geoff Kirby and James Cooley, shooting an aggregate score of 227 (+11) who lifted the Bourne Vanneck Cup for the best team gross and now go on to represent the NAPGC in the England Golf County Champions tournament.

The Bourne Vanneck Shield meanwhile was awarded to Portsmouth ‘A’, represented by Blake Docherty, Dexter Abbinnett and Kyle Bourne,  who shot a very good 218 (+2) aggregate score.

The runners up in the gross were Farnham Park (+15) and in the nett Risebridge (+4).

Meanwhile, the best gross of the day went to Liam Cella (Haste Hill) with a 73 (+1) and the best nett went to Bill Corbally (Rose Hill) with a 70 (-2) on count back.

Thanks to all clubs and players who took part and to Anne Butcher, Stuart Cella and Neil Jennings for managing the event.
