England Golf Centenary week 24 – 27 June 2024

England Golf held a week of celebrations at the end of June to commemorate its centenary year. This prestigious event took place at the home of England Golf, Woodhall Spa. All the England Counties were invited to send representative teams for each of the 4 days to compete on the wonderful Hotchkin Course. The NAPGC was represented across the week with Haste Hill putting a team into the Am-Am Club event on Monday finishing a creditable 2nd in the morning tournament. Then on Tuesday there was a County better ball event where the NAPGC again acquitted themselves well, coming 5th out of 36 teams,.Wednesday was a County Secretaries and Treasurers better ball event and Thursday a Presidents event. Each evening there was a gala dinner where all the competitors were treated to marvellous England Gold hospitality. The NAPGC were represented in all events which provided some great networking opportunities as we look to promote and expand the organisation moving forward. Around the golf there were also workshops which usefully updated on the direction of England Golf, particularly in the areas of Junior Development,  WHS and Course Rating Updates, County Unification and Competition Updates.
